Grid reserve
Grid reserve volumes and costs since July 2022
Grid reserve plant capacity is contracted each winter and held in reserve to be used for redispatching measures by transmission system operators (TSOs) beyond the usual level of redispatching. The grid reserve power plants are used for regular test starts and test runs as well as actual redispatching.
The grid reserve costs comprise the costs of contracting and deploying the power plants. The costs for test starts and test runs are included in the costs of deploying the plants.
