The information provided by the gas suppliers operating in Germany allows the household customer price in the various contract models to be broken down into different components. The components can be divided into those that are controlled by the supplier and those that are not. The components not controlled by the supplier include network tariffs, concession fees, charges for metering and meter operations, surcharges and taxes. The components that are controlled by the supplier include energy procurement costs, distribution costs and the supplier's margin.
