New on SMARD: data for electricity generation in Luxembourg

-

It is now possible to view and download data on the electricity generated in Luxembourg.

Up until now, the SMARD website has had data for electricity generation in the following regions:

•    bidding zone: Germany/Luxembourg (as from 1 October 2018)
•    bidding zone: Germany/Austria/Luxembourg (up to 30 September 2018)
•    country: Germany
•    country: Austria
•    control area (DE): 50Hertz
•    control area (DE): Amprion
•    control area (DE): TenneT
•    control area (DE): TransnetBW
•    control area (AT): APG.

As from 9 March 2022 it is also possible to view data on the electricity generated using different energy sources in Luxembourg/Creos control area (LU).
The data per quarter hour are available under "Actual generation" and can be combined with other categories such as electricity consumption under Market data visuals. All the data are also available in various formats for further use in the Data download section.

Good to know

The data for the Germany/Luxembourg market area for 9 March 2022 onwards are the sum of the data for Germany and the data for Luxembourg. The data for the Germany/Luxembourg market area for before this date largely correspond to the data for Germany, with the exception of the period from 26 May 2021 to 5 September 2021, when generation data for Luxembourg were reported and included in the data for the market area.

If any data for Luxembourg are still reported for periods before 9 March 2022, they will be published on the SMARD website and used to update the data for the Germany/Luxembourg market area.
