Slight increase in consumer price indices
There was a slight increase in November in the household customer price indices for both electricity and gas. For new customers, the electricity price index stands at 107.1 points, 0.6 points above the October figure; for gas there was a four-point increase over October to 174.2 points.
By contrast, existing customers are paying lower prices in November than in October. The electricity price index for existing customers fell by 3.8 points to 116.9, while the gas price index saw a decrease of 1.8 points to 178.2.
The household customer price index shows the relation between current prices for electricity and gas and prices in January 2021. They show the expected prices for the coming month at the beginning of each month.
